Inclusive, customized college admissions coaching.

college coach

Not too long ago, I was a college hopeful sitting in my room sifting through the pages of Princeton Review’s The Best 382 Colleges equipped with my colorful pens and highlighters as I organized my own college list. (Ok, maybe it was a bit longer than I’d like to admit since this information was still living in a book instead of on a website.) Ultimately, I applied early decision to Vanderbilt and much to my disappointment, I was not admitted.

Before you get too upset for me, I ended up attending Clemson University and absolutely loved my time as a tiger. It was through this opportunity to go away for college that I learned how little I knew about the college application process. My parents were supportive, but as a first-generation college student, I couldn’t really rely on their expertise or experience. I was fortunate to have a guidance counselor at my high school, but I had only met with her a few times before I applied to college during my senior year.

With a newly sparked interest in education, I joined Teach For America after college where I taught high school math in Charlotte, North Carolina. After my two years in the classroom, I joined Search Solution Group as an executive recruiter where I gained valuable insight into coaching top-level applications through the interview process. Still passionate about education, I started my own college advising program where I leveraged the skills I was learning in the workplace to coach former students through the college application process. Once my students were accepted and ready to leave Charlotte for college, I realized that I too, was ready for a change. I fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to New York City where I was the founding college counselor with Democracy Prep Harlem High School. During my two years with Democracy Prep, I had the opportunity to work with the most incredible students and a truly talented team.

Now, I am here to walk you through the ins and outs of applying to college. With a master’s degree in higher education from Vanderbilt (in progress) and successful students at the colleges of their choice, I am just the coach you are looking for! I want to be with you every step of the way - from building your initial college list to selecting the college of your CHOICE - so that you know you’re taken care of and can focus on enjoying the college application process.

When I’m not working with students, I’m snuggling my dog, Henry, spinning at CycleBar, or reading a book from my never-ending list.

"Danielle is an incredible and trustworthy individual. She will challenge her students to set personal and academic goals that best reflects their efforts and passions. She is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, attentive and caring. She invests in her students equally as much as she invests in her best friend, Henry."
